This tiny photo is all that exists of an experiment that took down the local Internet Service Provider. We ran an Icecast stream to some friends in New York and had a jam session with the “Locomojo Radio” theme in my mom’s living room for about an hour. We had configured Icecast at maximum settings and ended up eating up all the bandwidth for the entire ISP which provided much of Sonoma with internet access at the time. My mom thought a plumber had left the message “YOU’RE CLOGGING UP ALL THE PIPES! WE’RE SHUTTIN’ YOU DOWN!” A year later the same server company helped us stream the 60’s rock concert using the same Icecast setup.
