We happily made the front page of the Sonoma Index-Tribune back in 2004 for putting on the first Locomojo Festival. We worked hard with the local ISP to get a livestream for the concert going but couldn’t get a strong enough signal from the radio signals in the surrounding hills due to the trees in the historic Sonoma Plaza. The governor of California at the time was Gray Davis. He wrote us a letter congratulating us and supporting our efforts. My mom was there and was proud – she would pass a few months later from a years long battle with ovarian cancer. She said “you can do anything Brian” and I won’t forget it. Jules Figueroa (also pictured) was a great help setting up the bands and supporting the project.
